Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Horse Farm Groundskeeper and Equipment Maintenance Specialist! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our equine facility's grounds and equipment. Your energetic approach will ensure that the farm remains a thriving environment for horses and staff alike. You will oversee routine groundskeeping tasks, perform repairs on farm machinery, and support animal husbandry activities to promote a healthy, well-maintained farm setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on maintenance work with animal care in a lively agricultural environment. We are seeking help on our horse farm for 1 or 2 days per week, year-round, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your availability.
  • Responsibilities :
  • Maintain trails
  • Perform landscaping tasks, including mowing, weed whacking, and plowing snow and ice mitigation
  • Operate tractors
  • Change tractor implements
  • Cut and split firewood using a tractor-mounted splitter
  • Change oil and conduct minor maintenance on tractors
  • Ensure that all equipment is adequately maintained and in good working condition
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Qualifications :
  • Previous experience working with tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all staff and guests
  • Strong time management skills to enhance efficiency on the farm
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and exercise good judgment
  • Comfortable working independently and knowing when to ask for help
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be physically fit and capable of managing challenging situations confidently
  • Pass background checks
  • Experience with horses is helpful but not a requirement !
Pay:
$18.00
