Good Earth Gardeners, LLC is a residential landscape contracting and maintenance company that designs, installs and maintains landscapes on the Eastern Shore and Annapolis. Good Earth Gardeners has a vision of "Carefully Wild" - merging sophisticated garden design with ecological intelligence. Our service philosophy includes thoughtful customer service, meticulously selected and unusual plant material, trusted landscape industry partners and most importantly, long term client relationships. We are currently seeking candidates to fill a few roles as Landscape Gardeners. Applicants should be passionate about plants and the outdoors, always seeking knowledge, and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Although prior professional gardening experience is valuable, we are willing to consider all candidates with a demonstrable passion for gardening. As a Landscape Gardener, you will be tending to everything from cozy courtyard plantings and detailed estate gardens, to school grounds to planted containers and living walls. You will be utilizing your knowledge in sound horticultural practices, pest ID, and proper pruning techniques. The clientele you will be working with care deeply about their gardens. Communicating with them effectively will be an integral part of your role with Good Earth Gardeners. The gardens you will be managing include newly completed installations, all the way to well established gardens that are many years old.

Primary Responsibilities:

Tending to perennials and annuals in residential gardens Pruning and shaping of shrubs and small trees Container planting Overall health and growth of the plants Overall aesthetic of gardens

Requirements:

Professionalism, effective communication and attention to detail Ability to cultivate a pleasant working environment with fellow employees Willingness to work in all weather conditions Bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs Current Maryland driver's license required Benefits include paid time off, 5 annual paid holidays, employee discount & continuing education opportunities. Good Earth Gardeners is a non-smoking workplace. Work year runs from mid February to late December - usually a 4-6 week break period over winter. Occasional Saturday work. Occasional overtime opportunities. Work day begins at 7:30 and ends between 4-5.

Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
