Maintenance and Groundskeeper

Happy Tails Pet Resort, a dog boarding and daycare facility in Crownsville, is looking for a reliable, experienced Maintenance Tech / Groundskeeper to work part-time, approximately 3-4 days a week, with semi-flexible hours. (Potential for more hours if candidate is experienced in larger construction projects) We are looking for someone who will help assure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our busy Pet Resort on a year-round basis. Responsibilities may include:

General landscape maintenance using mowers and trimmers as well as routine weed-control Managing of facility systems such as HVAC, Generator, Water Tanks / Filtration, Septic Tank, etc; arranging outside specialist services as needed for repairs / general upkeep Routine repairs around facility that may include plumbing, electrical, painting and some construction (or other such handyman-type skills) Upkeep of small maintenance machinery / tools such as mowers, trimmers, power-washers, leaf-blowers, dryers, dishwasher, drain snakes, etc Possible repairs may include chainlink fencing + gates, doors + door knobs, windows, light fixtures, water bowls, clogged drains, hoses + spigots, painting, etc Seasonal upkeep around facility might include gutter cleaning, snow and leaf removal, pest control, etc Qualifications Proven experience in landscape maintenance and groundskeeping Strong knowledge of lawn care, gardening, and horticulture Proficient in the use of hand and power tools Familiarity with irrigation systems Experience in construction and kennel maintenance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Available for emergency needs of the facility such as snow removal or other weather-related issues that might arise
