Landscape Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Perform lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, trimming, and mulching to maintain healthy and vibrant landscapes. Conduct landscape maintenance including planting, pruning and shrubbery trimming to promote growth and visual appeal. Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with hardscape projects like installing or repairing walkways, patios, retaining walls, or other outdoor structures. Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for various gardening and landscaping tasks. Maintain equipment through routine inspections and basic mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal performance. Assist with tree trimming and removal projects using appropriate safety procedures and equipment such as excavators when necessary. Support overall landscape beautification efforts by gardening, planting new greenery, and maintaining existing plantings. Experience Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping is preferred. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and landscaping machinery is a plus. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing techniques and pest management. Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair is a plus. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Pre-employment DOT physical and drug test are mandatory, as is a clean driving record.
