In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful outdoor spaces through a variety of landscaping tasks. Your expertise will help transform residential, commercial, and public areas into vibrant, well-manicured environments. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces. Use hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely. Operate heavy equipment like excavators and other construction machinery for hardscape installation or landscape grading projects. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and installing sprinkler systems to promote healthy plant growth. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal with proper techniques to ensure safety and health. Implement lawn care routines such as fertilizing, aerating, overseeding, and pest control to keep lawns lush and vibrant. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and maintain property safety standards. Support landscape design projects by installing hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other decorative elements. Perform routine gardening tasks including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while adhering to horticultural best practices. Conduct regular landscape inspections to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards and address them proactively. Experience Proven experience in landscaping or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles. Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of lawn care equipment and power tools. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management. Hands-on experience with tree care including trimming, planting, and removal techniques. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is preferred but not required. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or skid steers is a plus. Strong work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining high standards of property appearance.
