Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Golf Course Maintenance Worker to join our team in maintaining the pristine condition of our golf course. This role involves performing landscape and turf care to ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, horticulture, and maintaining beautiful landscapes. Prior experience with landscaping, lawn care, or gardening is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in irrigation, landscape maintenance, and the use of various hand and power tools. Responsibilities Maintain and repair golf course turf, including mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure high-quality playing conditions Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various maintenance activities Assist with the installation and upkeep of landscaping features including trees, shrubs, and flower beds Conduct routine inspections of course conditions and report any issues requiring attention Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to promote safety and efficiency Support overall course presentation by performing seasonal tasks such as aeration, topdressing, and overseeding Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or turf management is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with irrigation systems, landscape maintenance practices, and the use of hand tools and power tools is advantageous Knowledge of horticulture principles or coursework related to gardening or land management is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of course appearance This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in outdoor maintenance, horticulture, or landscape management to gain hands-on experience in a professional golf course environment.
