Seasonal position(s) with part-time, variable hours and no benefits other than as provided under the Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA).Approximate employment period:
April 6 through October 15 (2026)GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Assistant Buildings & Grounds Supervisor, seasonal position is responsible for lawn maintenance of County tax foreclosed home properties. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Cuts grass at all tax foreclosed homes.2. Removes brush, dead trees, and trash.3. Trim around home entrances.4. Uses equipment such as riding mowers, push mowers, chain saws and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools.5. Boards up and secures homes. At approved times, may enter the homes to remove trash.6. Must be able to work efficiently on your own with minimal supervision.7. Punctual and consistent attendance is an essential function.8. Performs other required tasks and duties as required.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned this classification. QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at 18 years of age. Must have a valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
