Full Job Description Landscaper Michigan Locations:
Fraser, Port Huron, Royal Oak, and Warren Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Landscaper to join our team. The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance, safety, and accessibility of multiple ophthalmology clinic locations. This position performs lawn care, landscaping, seasonal grounds maintenance, and snow and ice removal to ensure a clean, professional, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The employee will travel between clinic locations in Fraser, Warren, Port Huron, and Royal Oak using company-provided equipment and tools. Responsibilities Grounds and Landscaping Maintenance Mow, edge, and trim lawns at all clinic locations. Maintain landscaping beds by planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and removing debris. Trim shrubs, hedges, and small trees to maintain a professional appearance. Apply fertilizer, seed, and other lawn care treatments as directed. Monitor irrigation systems and report maintenance issues. Remove litter and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and landscaped areas. Maintain outdoor furniture, signage areas, and exterior building appearance. Snow and Ice Removal Remove snow from parking lots, sidewalks, building entrances, ramps, and walkways. Apply salt, ice melt, and other approved materials to maintain safe walking and driving surfaces. Respond promptly to weather events, including early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday snow removal as needed. Monitor weather forecasts and prepare equipment for winter conditions. Property and Equipment Maintenance Inspect grounds and parking areas for safety hazards and report repair needs. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of landscaping and snow removal equipment. Ensure equipment is operated safely and stored properly. Maintain inventory of landscaping and snow removal supplies. Assist with other exterior facility maintenance projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous landscaping, grounds maintenance, or snow removal experience preferred. Ability to operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, snow blowers, and related equipment safely. Valid Michigan driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to travel between Fraser, Warren, Port Huron, and Royal Oak locations. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, walk, and stand for extended periods. Dependable attendance and flexibility to respond to weather-related emergencies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and professional environment for patients and staff.
