You'll keep our outdoor grounds looking great while maintaining clean, welcoming common areas for residents and visitors — across our Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and Kentwood, Michigan locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Grounds Maintenance — Outdoor upkeep & landscaping Grounds litter pick-up & debris removal Lawn mowing & edging Shrub & hedge trimming Landscaping bed maintenance Planting & mulching Weed control Sidewalk & parking lot sweeping General property upkeep Common Area Cleaning — Interior & shared space upkeep Trash removal & trash bin take-out Sweeping & mopping floors Vacuuming common areas Wiping down surfaces & fixtures Restroom cleaning & restocking Entryway & lobby upkeep Reporting maintenance issues Light sanitizing duties

Winter duties include snow removal (shoveling, salting, plowing assistance) and ongoing common area cleaning to keep Homeward Communities properties safe and well-maintained year-round.

Duties Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering to promote healthy growth Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, tree care, trimming, and shrubbery upkeep Operate hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems efficiently and safely Perform routine cleaning of common areas by sweeping, trash removal, pressure washing surfaces, and maintaining outdoor furniture Support general maintenance tasks around the community to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal Skills Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, watering, and aeration Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, irrigation system management, and tree trimming Ability to use hand tools effectively for gardening and maintenance projects Excellent attention to detail in cleaning outdoor spaces and common areas regularly Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Mechanical knowledge for operating lawn care machinery and power tools safely - preferred, but not needed to apply Join our team if you're passionate about outdoor beautification and enjoy working in a dynamic environment!
