Job Description

Seeking dependable, hardworking individual for a seasonal Maintenance and Grounds Keeper position. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the fairgrounds in preparation for and during events. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently without constant supervision, and also capable of working cooperatively as part of a team. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions and manage multiple tasks are required. Applicants MUST be willing to work weekends, evenings, and occasional extended hours, especially during peak fair and event periods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities Lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping Cleaning and stocking of restrooms and public areas Basic repair work including plumbing and electrical tasks Painting, minor carpentry, and routine equipment maintenance Set-up and tear-down for events, including moving equipment and materials Monitoring grounds for safety hazards and addressing issues promptly Occasional interaction with vendors, exhibitors, and the public in a courteous and professional manner
