Groundskeeper, Multi-Property

Working Hours:

Typical work hours are 40 hours per week. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with some possible weekend on-call shifts. Part time may be possible. Essential Functions of the

Position:

• Perform a variety of tasks at various properties owned and managed by Avis Management.
• Answer work orders as prioritized and directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Perform a variety of general property tasks as needed, including but not limited to: Trash pickup Sweeping Light janitorial Changing trash bags Light lawn mowing, edging, weed whipping Light weed management Stump grinding Light mulch installation Flower planting Snow and ice removal

Required Skills and Abilities:

• A valid Michigan Driver's License and upstanding driving record is mandatory. This position uses a company vehicle during work shifts to travel to all buildings owned by the company and utilizes a collection of company owned equipment.
• Must speak fluent English
• Must have working knowledge of common technology (tablet, email) and be comfortable learning basic software for task lists & communication
• Must be neat, orderly and punctual
• Must have ability to follow directions with speed and efficiency and work alone for long stretches of time Equipment, Machinery, Tool Operation Knowledge Requirements
• Drive a company vehicle (pickup, small box truck)
• Tow and maneuver utility trailer
• Operate a floor scrubber
• Operate a scissors lift
• Properly use landscaping equipment
• Properly use cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Familiar with small engine/equipment operation and maintenance
• Proper PPE familiarity

Physical Demands:

This position requires the employee to work on their feet for the majority of an 8-hour shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb a ladder, squat, and bend over.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor work, weather permitting. Must be able to work in conditions that may be dirty and/or dusty for length of shift. PPE will be provided as needed.

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to Avis Management Maintenance Supervisor.

Background Screen Policy:

Avis Management's hiring policy requires all prospective employees to participate in a pre-employment drug screen and agree to standard driving and criminal background checks. Employment is contingent upon candidate test results.
