Duties Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers to achieve a clean, even cut. Perform landscape maintenance including edging, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, and planting flowers or new greenery. Operate hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for planting, weeding, and soil preparation. Use power tools such as hedge trimmers, blowers, and edgers to shape landscapes and clear debris efficiently. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper watering. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible. Support construction projects involving hardscape features like patios or walkways by preparing sites and installing materials under supervision. Conduct basic tree care including trimming or removal using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or excavators when necessary. Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance. Collaborate with team members on larger projects involving landscape installation or renovation to deliver high-quality results. Experience Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, hand tools, and small machinery such as excavators is highly advantageous. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, planting, and irrigation systems enhances your effectiveness on the job. Knowledge of tree care techniques like trimming and removal supports safe and healthy growth of trees within landscapes. Experience with snow plowing equipment is a plus for seasonal coverage during winter months. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards is essential.
