Job Description
Job Summary We're looking for an energetic, hard-working, physically-fit person to help care for our micro-farms. We grow iris and daylilies (which we dig and ship in July), as well as dahlias, gladiolus and other bulbs that need care from spring through fall. You will be on your feet (or knees) every day, in temperatures ranging from the 40s to the 90s, planting, weeding, dividing, mulching, watering, and so on, to keep everything healthy and growing vigorously. In the fall we primarily focus on our shipping season in October but also plant daffodils, tulips, and other bulbs, while preparing the micro-farms for winter. Please note, this is a seasonal position from now to approximately November 15th. Hours are flexible within a 7-4 work day with occasional weekend hours if desired to make up for rain days. This position can work around a school schedule.
