Gardener/Horticulturist

Calyx Gardening and Design is looking for seasonal gardeners. We are an established family-owned business where your hard work and ideas matter. Our employees plant and maintain annuals, perennials, vegetables, and shrubs in our clients residential gardens. Duties include planting, digging, pruning, fertilizing, weeding, watering, mulching, and general garden maintenance. We use organic methods.

Qualifications:

Gardening or landscaping experience, an MNLA certification, or other relevant experience is preferred but we will train an enthusiastic gardener. Applicants should have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a love of plants. The ability to work hard and a willingness to learn are essential.

You must be able to:

Bend over, kneel, get up and down repeatedly all day long, move quickly, lift, pull, push 40 pounds, work outside daily, in all weather. This is a physical job. Work independently at times, and work with a team too. You must be able follow directions, and work to a high standard. You must have transportation as our clients are located across the Twin Cities. This is a seasonal position (April-November) depending on weather. Please submit a resume and cover letter describing your interest and experience.
