Duties Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to keep turf healthy and vibrant Maintain landscape features such as planting beds, shrubs, trees, and flower installations with pruning, trimming, and planting techniques Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws) safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks Use heavy equipment such as excavators for site preparation or hardscape installation projects Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes and gardens Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for visitors Build or repair hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls using appropriate materials and techniques Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mulching, soil preparation, and pest management Follow safety guidelines consistently while maintaining high standards of quality in all outdoor work Experience Prior experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment like excavators or power tools effectively Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing techniques and fertilization methods is desirable Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design will help enhance your contributions Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks Experience with construction or hardscape projects is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued highly Strong attention to detail combined with good communication skills ensures tasks are completed safely and efficiently This role is perfect for individuals passionate about outdoor environments who thrive on hands-on work.
