In this role, you'll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing gardens, lawns, and landscape features to ensure they thrive and impress. Duties Design and implement landscape projects, including planting beds, lawns, shrubs, trees, and decorative features Maintain healthy plant growth through pruning, trimming, fertilizing, watering, and pest control Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes to perform precise gardening tasks Use power tools including lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws safely and efficiently Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for different plant types Assist with greenhouse activities like planting seedlings and monitoring plant health for growing experience Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, edging beds, weed control, and soil preparation Apply horticultural knowledge to select appropriate plants for specific environments and client preferences Support farming activities related to sustainable land use practices where applicable Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards Qualifications Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable Knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse operations is a plus Familiarity with lawn care techniques and landscape farming practices Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Strong understanding of plant care principles including pest management and soil health Prior experience in agriculture or farming environments is advantageous Excellent physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for nature transforms outdoor spaces into stunning landscapes!
