About us We are proud to serve the citizens of Webster County. Our staff and elected office holders want the more than 40,000 county residents to be satisfied customers, so we strive to provide prompt, courteous, and quality service. We are dedicated to providing the most efficient and effective application of public funds to better serve our community. Your county government offices handle law enforcement; death investigation; criminal prosecution; emergency management; road and bridge maintenance; business, marriage, liquor, ATV, and auctioneer licenses; land, school, and military discharge records; court-appointed public guardianship; notary commissions; and voter registration and election administration. We're looking for a Seasonal Mower to assist with the day-to-day operations of maintaining local right-of-ways of roads and bridges. The successful candidate will be capable of operating a variety of equipment - specifically a tractor with side-arm brush cutter, chainsaw, and other trimming equipment; conducting maintenance and repair work; and working effectively with others on the team.
Responsibilities:
Inspect equipment to ensure that it is working properly. Be able to read a map and follow written directions. Perform minor repairs on heavy equipment. Turn on equipment, prepare it for use, and turn it off when done. Follow all applicable rules and regulations. Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and residents via phone or in-person. Keep accurate records of equipment use.
