osition Summary We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Lead Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee the care and upkeep of our 15-acre residential campus. This role is unique in its scope, requiring a professional who balances the technical skills of property maintenance with an understanding of the therapeutic environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the exterior grounds remain a serene, healing landscape while providing essential interior support to keep our residential facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. Primary ResponsibilitiesGrounds & Exterior Care (60%)

Estate Management:

Execute full-scale landscaping for 15 acres, including precision mowing, edging, aeration, and seasonal cleanup.

Horticultural Upkeep:

Manage the health of trees, shrubs, and flower beds. Monitor for pests/disease and implement fertilization and pruning schedules.

Healing Environments:

Maintain specialized outdoor features such as walking paths, meditation gardens, and therapeutic seating areas, ensuring they are always accessible and pristine.

Infrastructure:

Maintain gravel or paved roadways, perimeter fencing, and exterior signage.

Seasonal Response:

Manage snow removal and ice mitigation during winter months to ensure 24/7 safe access for staff and residents.

Equipment Oversight:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all landscaping machinery (tractors, mowers, power tools). Interior Maintenance & Facilities (40%)

General Repairs:

Address daily maintenance tickets including basic plumbing (leaks, clogs), electrical (bulb replacement, fixture updates), and carpentry.

Preventative Maintenance:

Conduct monthly inspections of HVAC filters, water heaters, and safety systems (fire extinguishers, smoke detectors).

Interior Finishing:

Perform drywall repairs, painting, and flooring touch-ups to maintain a high-end, clinical-grade aesthetic.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all walkways and interior spaces are free of hazards, adhering to strict safety protocols required for a residential mental health setting.

Vendor Coordination:

Assist in supervising specialized contractors (e.g., HVAC technicians, roofers) when major repairs are required.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

3-5 years of experience in large-scale groundskeeping or estate management; dual experience in residential maintenance is highly preferred.

Technical Proficiency:

Comfortable operating heavy machinery (zero-turn mowers, tractors) and proficient with hand/power tools for interior repairs.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in all Missouri weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Discretion & Professionalism:

Must be able to work around a sensitive population with empathy, maintaining strict resident confidentiality (HIPAA) and a calm demeanor.

Problem Solving:

A self-starter who can identify a facility need before it becomes an emergency.

Pay:

$23.37 - $28.14 per hour
