Grounds Lead Technician

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Grounds Technician to oversee the daily maintenance, appearance, and improvement of our outdoor properties and landscaped areas. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in landscaping and grounds maintenance, with the ability to coordinate projects, operate equipment safely, and ensure properties are maintained to a high standard throughout all seasons. Key Responsibilities Lead and participate in daily grounds maintenance activities including: Mowing, trimming, edging, and weed control Tree and shrub maintenance Fertilization and seasonal landscaping Irrigation inspection and repair Snow removal and seasonal cleanup as needed Lead and assist a small grounds crew to ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally Operate, inspect, and maintain landscaping and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively Monitor property conditions and identify maintenance needs or improvement opportunities Assist with planning and executing landscape enhancement projects Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety procedures, and local regulations Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and landscaping materials Communicate effectively with management regarding schedules, property conditions, and project updates Respond promptly to grounds-related maintenance issues and weather-related property needs Off season - May complete small maintenance tasks like repairs, painting, etc… Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance experience Previous leadership or crew supervision experience preferred Strong knowledge of: Turf and lawn care, trees, shrubs, and plant maintenance, Irrigation systems and related tools Ability to safely operate commercial landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, trailers, and other machinery Strong organizational, communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks Valid driver's license required Reliable transportation capable of transporting equipment and tools as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and operate equipment for extended periods Comfortable working in heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor conditions

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
