Grounds Keeper

Position Summary The Greenskeeper is responsible for maintaining golf course playing surfaces to the highest standards possible. This position focuses on daily turfgrass maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers to ensure exceptional playing conditions and an outstanding golfer experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Turf & Playing Surface Maintenance Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough according to daily setup schedules Change cups and set tee markers to provide fair, balanced course setup Rake and maintain bunkers to ensure consistent playability Edge yardage markers, bunkers, and sprinkler heads Monitor turf health and report stress, disease, irrigation issues, or damage Agronomic Practices Assist with aerification, verticutting, topdressing, overseeding, and fertilization Operate irrigation heads and assist in hand-watering as needed Apply fertilizers and plant protectants under supervision Assist with moisture management and firmness control on greens Equipment Operation & Maintenance Safely operate mowers, rollers, blowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, and other equipment Perform daily cleaning and inspection of equipment Report mechanical issues promptly General Responsibilities Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the course at all times Remove debris, leaves, and trash from course grounds Assist with snow removal (if applicable) Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Previous golf course or landscaping experience preferred but not required Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices preferred Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely Valid driver's license preferred Pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain) preferred Skills & Attributes Strong work ethic and reliability Attention to detail Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Team-oriented with positive attitude Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods Ability to work in heat, cold, wind, and wet conditions
