Cary, NC Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Referral program Qualifications Outdoor work Chainsaw Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Driver's License Safety equipment Manual handling Full Job Description Landscape Maintenance Driver/Laborer with valid NC Driver's License Hourly Pay (based on experience): $18-$20 hour Southern Garden Inc. is looking for dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our landscape maintenance team. The Landscape Maintenance Laborer/Driver is expected to transport and work under the crew supervisor on a daily basis. Job responsibilities for Landscape Maintenance Laborer/Driver include but are not limited to: Prepare daily driver vehicle inspection reports. Participate in weekly safety meetings. Safe operation of company vehicle and transportation of crew. Safe operation of the following equipment: Commercial Mowers - Push, Standers and Riding. Trimmers, Edgers, Hedge trimmers and Chainsaws Tillers, Aerators, and Slit seeders Backpack blowers Backpack sprayers Hand tools - rakes, shovels and crimpers Snow removal equipment Required Skills Ability to work as a team and take instructions from the Crew Supervisor. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis Ability to work 35 to 50 hours each week. Must have knowledge of correct pruning methods. Must wear eye and ear protection (company provided) Must have the ability to follow all company policies. Valid NC driver's license with a clean record. Bi-lingual a plus but not required.
