Mows fairways, roughs and greens; changes pin location; rakes sand traps. Removes, cuts and trims trees; removes leaves on course. Aerates, fertilizes tees, fairways and greens as needed. Irrigates greens and fairways. Installs, repairs and maintains irrigation systems. Assists with grounds improvement, lays sod, repairs cart paths and other facilities. Assists with equipment and irrigation system repairs. Operates a variety of equipment in connection with the above tasks. Performs related tasks as required. Qualifications General knowledge of the methods, materials and practices used in golf course maintenance; general knowledge of the equipment used to maintain a golf course and its safe operation; some knowledge in reading irrigation schematics; ability to make arithmetic computations; ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, course guests and the general public. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and moderate experience in horticulture and golf course maintenance. Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license upon hire. Special Requirements Must meet and maintain all certification, license and training requirements for position.
