Job Description

Assist with all aspects of the maintenance of City Parks, Cemetery, and Cottonmill Park. Under general direction, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, construction and care of the parks and park facilities. Work varies, requiring interpretative judgment within prescribed standards and procedures. Must be at least 18 years old.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, officials and the public. (Daily) Regular timely/punctual attendance. (Daily) Assigned projects are performed properly and efficiently. (Daily) Maintain and safely operate equipment. (Daily) Apply and maintain knowledge of the current methods, equipment, materials and tools to effectively maintain and care for shrubs, trees, plants and grass. (Daily) Apply and maintain knowledge of the current methods, equipment, materials and tools used to perform maintenance and construction tasks. (Daily)
