Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper placement and health. Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep lawns healthy and visually appealing. Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, performing tree trimming, and caring for plants to promote growth and safety. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as excavators for digging, grading, or installing hardscape elements like patios or walkways. Conduct irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible. Assist with general construction tasks related to landscape projects including hardscape installation and site preparation. Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, weeds, and ensuring tools are properly stored after use. Qualifications Prior experience or interest in landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control is advantageous. Basic understanding of horticulture principles or tree care techniques is beneficial. Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures when operating machinery or handling tools. Valid driver's license preferred for operating equipment or traveling between job sites; willingness to learn new skills related to irrigation systems or snow plowing is appreciated.
