Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper placement and care. Perform lawn care duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy, attractive turf. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, pruning, and installing hardscape features. Support landscape maintenance activities such as irrigation system installation and repair, tree trimming, and snow plowing during winter months. Help with the upkeep of equipment like excavators and other construction machinery to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine site inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report accordingly. Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, leaves, and waste materials to uphold professional standards. Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping equipment and power tools effectively. Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices. Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows. Ability to operate larger machinery including excavators and snow plows when needed. Knowledge of landscaping techniques including hardscape installation (patios, walkways) and tree care (trimming, planting). Strong understanding of irrigation systems and general construction principles related to outdoor projects. Good physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials safely.
