Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive lawns and gardens Utilize hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawnmowers to execute various landscaping projects efficiently Operate heavy equipment like excavators for larger construction or hardscape installations Implement irrigation systems setup, repair, and maintenance to promote optimal plant health Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal with proper safety procedures Maintain hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures with precision and care Provide gardening services by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and caring for existing plants to ensure lush growth Experience Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture with a strong understanding of lawn care and landscape maintenance techniques Mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping including power tools and hand tools Familiarity with construction processes related to landscape projects such as hardscape installation or excavation work Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and disease management Ability to operate machinery like excavators or snow plowing equipment is a plus Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team dedicated to quality craftsmanship
