Position Overview:

The Arborist Groundsman is eager to learn, support the crew & build safe habits. They are focused on learning everything about professional tree work, how a job site flows, how to work safely and how to be productive without creating risk. They support the crew however is needed and strive to be productive & efficient. This role is inclusive of three groundsman levels: AFO I -

Arborist Field Operator I:

For candidates who are new to the industry and eager to learn the fundamentals of professional tree work. Learn jobsite safety, awareness, and crew communication Support cleanup, brush dragging, traffic control, and general labor tasks Develop an understanding of tools, equipment, ropes, and jobsite flow Build productive work habits and a strong foundation for advancement AFO II -

Arborist Field Operator II:

For team members who have demonstrated reliability and can safely operate equipment while supporting production. Operate chippers, mini skid steers, chainsaws, and other equipment safely Assist with rigging operations and material handling Anticipate crew needs and contribute to overall job efficiency Maintain equipment and uphold Tree Ya Later safety standards AFO III -

Arborist Field Operator III:

For experienced groundsmen who help coordinate ground operations and support the Climber/Crew Leader. Lead ground crew activities during removals and pruning operations Manage ropes, rigging systems, drop zones, and worksite organization Train and mentor newer Groundsmen (AFO I & II) Help set the pace of the job and ensure safe, efficient production Serve as the primary support person for the

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a spotter for vehicles backing up and general operation Ensure jobsite is cleaner when we are done than before we arrived Ensure all tools are collected and stored upon job completion Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE always Anticipate where assistance will be needed before being asked (no hands in pockets) Move brush and debris efficiently Assist with job site clean-up Observe chipper operations (no independent operation) Learn tool names, storage locations, and handling Support climber and roper under direct supervision Study and practice to upgrade to

Pay Range:
