Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as excavators, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Install and maintain hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures Conduct gardening activities including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while adhering to horticultural best practices Carry out snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties Assist with irrigation system installation and repairs to promote healthy plant growth Support construction projects related to landscape design or renovation efforts with excavation and site preparation tasks Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various landscaping machinery and hand tools confidently Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and health assessment Familiarity with hardscape installation and general construction principles in outdoor environments Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment such as power tools and irrigation systems Understanding of horticulture principles for plant selection and care Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions with attention to safety protocols This role is ideal for proactive individuals passionate about outdoor environments who are eager to learn new skills while making a tangible impact through their work.
