Job Description

SUMMARY :
Landscape and maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Shall perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, drainage repair, sod laying, and irrigation repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following: Follows written and oral daily instruction to complete routine grounds keeping duties. Waters all plants, flowers and grass on property by hand, sprinkler or other methods as needed. Mows and trims all golf course and club house grounds String trimming, edging and pulling weeds by hand as appropriate. Planting, fertilizing and other landscaping jobs as needed. Maintains and performs simple repairs to irrigation pipe and heads. Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all outside areas including grounds keeping and garbage maintenance. Keeps all related equipment clean, maintained and stored properly. Keeps equipment storage room neat, clean and organized. Keep all areas clean and sanitized as directed. Completes inventory of supplies and informs manager when additional supplies are needed. Keeps the entire property free of litter, cigarette butts and other trash. Shall perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years or older. Driver's license is required to operate equipment. Knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds keeping, landscape area construction, and maintenance work. Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of maintenance tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The Employee will be required to standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time may be required. The Employee will have constant bending and lifting up to 50lbs at a time. The Employee must work with tools and golf carts as necessary to perform duties of the job. Work environment is outdoors on the golf course, in which the temperature and weather conditions of the work area are affected by outside conditions, and can be extreme. Maintenance shops will have odors from fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment fluids. Areas where landscaping equipment are stored may have grass and other landscaping clippings and dirt on the floor. Machinery may contain dirt, oil, and/or grease.

Levels of interaction:
Face-to-face / in person: High level of interaction with other employees, periodic interaction with guests and vendors.
Telephone interaction:
High level of interaction with employees. Shift starts at 6:00 am 7 days a week. Working a minimum of one weekend day each week is required with this position and schedule.
