Job Description

Posting Details This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? The purpose of this position will provide services related to the upkeep of the grounds at NMBHI. How does it get done? Duties may include but are not limited to performing preventive maintenance such as constructing and/or remodeling cabinets, re-pinning keys, patching walls, roofing, and all other carpenter skills requested or, as necessary. Incumbent will also assist other disciplines within the Plant Technology Department as needed. Who are the customers? Patients/Clients/Residents/Employees Ideal Candidate Patients/Clients/Residents/Employees Minimum Qualification High School Diploma or Equivalent and three (3) months of experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance, custodial duties, construction, or appliance repair. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess a valid Drivers License Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate Working Conditions Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions such as hot, cold, humidity, wind, rain and snow. Exposure to sunlight, dust, pollen, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic fumes/chemicals and/or airborne particles. On call 24/7 during inclement weather.
