Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The Garden Shop Potscaper communicates daily with our clients, sales team, staff, and suppliers to ensure a high-quality and efficient mixed planters and seasonal decor. Analyzes scope, specifications, and other documentation presented to prepare cost and revenue proposals (considering all costs, labor, materials, and services involved) for proposed projects. This individual will need to be knowledgeable in safety compliance, general landscape, and garden practices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
Garden Shop Potscaping Install potscaping arrangements for retail sale and client use. Create seasonal potscapes using appropriate plant material, soil, and design elements to support year-round programs. Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate plant selections, products, and services. Build and manage client relationships to actively promote and upsell year-round potscaping programs, including seasonal rotations, storage, and cleaning of pots, bulb plantings, peak season planting, fall and holiday combinations, etc. Recommend and upsell potscaping services and products based on customer needs. Manage multiple customer pots and projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines. Assist with and direct the transportation of materials and perform installations at off-site client locations, as directed. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the potscaping work area. Provide knowledgeable guidance on plant care and maintenance. Estimating Assist with identifying labor, material, costs, and time requirements. Assist with tagging materials in the yard, identifying buy-ins, and coordinating with the buying department as needed. Secure and assist with scheduling all items for the job so that the job can be executed. Perform daily monitoring and update the contract as the project progresses to ensure that all additions and changes are being accurately recorded to ensure job profitability, including but not limited to buy-ins, T & M, and inventoried materials. Client Services Support client communication and follow-up with a sense of urgency to ensure a high level of service. Operational Work with others to coordinate equipment and material deliveries and ensure efficient use of shared resources. Research new technologies & ideas to increase efficiencies. Financial Develop accurate proposals for new and existing clients, maintaining or exceeding acceptable gross margins that support the company's financial goals. This includes but is not limited to, labor equipment and materials. Follow the company procedures for daily monitoring and updating project status relating to gross profit objectives and timelines. Qualifications Intermediate knowledge of annuals, vegetables, and herbs, including identification, care, and use in planters is required. Knowledge of perennials, trees, and shrubs, a plus. Experience with business and/or landscape management software systems; Aspire and Acumatica a plus. Spanish language proficiency or ability to understand Spanish is a plus. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to assess needs and provide solutions. Ability to use organic products and techniques in the construction and care of potscapes. Salary commensurate with exprience.Salary Range:
