Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team at the Forest Lodge, part of the Adirondack League Club on Honnedaga lake. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, as well as driving a boat. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This position is from May 25th to October 24th Duties Perform routine maintenance tasks including; driving a boat, moving and installing propane tanks, painting, carpentry and plumbing. Picking up and dropping off of members and luggage by boat. Maintain equipment, tools and boats to good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed and timelines are met. Lead small teams on maintenance projects, providing guidance and support as necessary. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from members and staff, while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in facilities maintenance processes. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively. Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques and materials. Basic understanding of electrical systems and plumbing repairs. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing small teams or projects is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a strong focus on member satisfaction. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
