Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Roadside Mowing and Dump Truck Delivery Operator, where you will play a vital role in maintaining safe, attractive, and well-kept roadside environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing your skills in landscape maintenance and heavy equipment operation. You will be responsible for performing roadside mowing to ensure clear visibility and safety, as well as delivering and managing dump truck loads efficiently to support various landscaping and construction projects. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep our roadsides pristine and our project sites well-stocked. Responsibilities Operate 90 horsepower tractor with brush hog mower to maintain roadside vegetation Use dump trucks to deliver materials like soil, gravel, mulch, or debris to designated sites with precision and safety Conduct routine inspections of mowing equipment and trucks, performing basic maintenance or reporting issues promptly Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including tree care, shrub trimming, and irrigation setup when needed Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and the public Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers to ensure timely material placement Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, equipment usage, and maintenance activities Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating and troubleshooting lawn care machinery, power tools, and dump trucks Experience with lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, and general garden maintenance Familiarity with landscape features such as hardscape installation and irrigation systems Ability to use hand tools effectively for minor repairs or adjustments on equipment Knowledge of construction site safety practices and roadside work procedures Skills in tree care including trimming, pruning, and basic arborist techniques Strong understanding of snow plowing operations during winter months when applicable This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive working outdoors in varied weather conditions. Candidates should possess a proactive attitude towards safety and quality while demonstrating a solid foundation in landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and delivery logistics.
