Landscape Laborer

We are a landscaping company based in Lansing, NY that deeply values character and work ethic. We want professionals who want to leave the outdoor office each day feeling proud of the work they did. We are seeking one or more individuals who are self-driven and dependable with valid drivers licenses (non-negotiable) who take accountability and pride in the quality of their work. Must be able to complete their day to day with little or no supervision, possess critical thinking skills, and be able to differentiate between nuisance weeds and intentional weeds. Must understand that a work week looks like whatever it takes to get the job done, including the potential for a "make up day" on a Saturday of Sunday if the weather causes a mid week set back. For this job, you MUST

• Possess a valid drivers license (we can verify, or our insurers will surely let us know)
• Feel comfortable towing or learning to tow a pull behind trailer full of equipment (both open and closed)
• Be willing to both mow, edge, mulch trim weeds (weed whacker) and pull weeds
• You must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Have accountability (for your schedule, your lawn list and record keeping, your truck, and the properties on your route)
• Be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs
• Have high standards for clean, crisp lawns
• including lawn lines, trimming, and a pristine presentation This job is NOT for you if:
• You struggle to show up on time or skip scheduled work days
• You rush through jobs and leave uncut patches or messy grass clippings behind
• You have medical reasons you cannot work in the sun (or rain)
• You have an aversion to sweating or working hard in outdoor heat or cold
• You need constant supervision to do a job correctly
• You are under the impression pay for performance means pay first, performance later, maybe, if you feel like it
• You believe that you are above running a weed trimmer or manually pulling weeds No Experience Required! This can be entry level or somebody with 20 years of experience in the industry. Pay is experience based, raises are performance based, and to be clear
• that means proof of consistent performance first. Fresh off the high school graduation stage
