Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces. Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to install and maintain landscaping features. Use heavy machinery such as excavators for grading, digging, or installing hardscape elements like patios or retaining walls. Conduct lawn care activities including fertilizing, aerating, watering, and pest control to promote lush growth. Maintain trees through trimming, pruning, and health assessments to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal. Install irrigation systems to optimize water efficiency and plant health across different landscapes. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge for operating equipment like excavators, lawnmowers, and snow plows. Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques including gardening, hardscape installation, and tree care. Experience with lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest management. Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of horticulture principles to support healthy plant growth and landscape design. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting. Basic construction skills for installing hardscape features like patios or walkways. Ability to perform landscape upkeep in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
