As a Seasonal Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of landscaping tasks, supporting the upkeep of lawns, gardens, and recreational areas to create an exceptional environment for visitors and staff alike. This paid position is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in transforming outdoor spaces into picturesque settings. Duties Perform lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to maintain lush, healthy grass. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and flower bed upkeep to enhance visual appeal. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges, ensuring precise and efficient work. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, adjusting, and repairing sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery, removing weeds, and maintaining soil health for thriving landscapes. Conduct routine maintenance on landscaping equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance throughout the season. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards and environmental guidelines. Skills Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques to promote healthy growth. Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control. Familiarity with gardening principles and horticulture best practices for plant health and sustainability. Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely. Strong understanding of land management and landscaping principles to support aesthetic goals. Skilled in using hand tools for detailed gardening or maintenance tasks with precision. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift regularly.
