Groundsman/CDL Driver

Job Description:

Cook Outdoor Contracting, LLC is seeking a dedicated and hardworking tree service groundsman to join our team. As a groundsman, you will play a crucial role in supporting our tree care operations. You will assist climbers, other operators and arborists in various tree maintenance tasks, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of our services. You will also be responsible for driving Class A commercial vehicles to and from job sites.

Responsibilities:

Assist climbers, other operators, and arborists in tree trimming, pruning, and removal. Operate and maintain various equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders, mini skid steers, and more. Perform ground operations, including clearing debris, chipping/dragging brush, roping, and more in work areas. Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks. Operate heavy duty and light duty equipment to accomplish tasks efficiently (such as skid steers, mini-excavator's, mini skid steers, stump grinders, etc.) Maintain a clean and organized worksite. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Drive company vehicles to and from jobs, safely. Operating Class A commercial truck and trailer skillfully, including backing of trailers.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

REQUIRED

Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record, please do not apply if you do not possess a Class A CDL. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds). Experience in the tree care industry is preferred but not required. Prior knowledge of tree care/landscape industry equipment and power tools is preferred. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn is A MUST. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Basic understanding of safety practices and procedures on work sites.
