  • Scarsdale, NY We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Plant Technician / Grounds Specialist to oversee and maintain the exterior landscape and overall presentation of a private estate.
This role requires a hands-on and experienced professional who takes pride in creating and preserving a pristine outdoor environment, while working collaboratively with external vendors and the household team.
Key Responsibilities:
Landscape & Plant Care
  • Work in close coordination with landscaping and pool vendors on a daily basis to ensure all grounds are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Monitor the health of all plants, trees, shrubs, and seasonal plantings; identify early signs of stress, disease, or decline.
  • Proactively triage and treat struggling plants, including watering adjustments, pruning, fertilizing, or escalating to specialists when needed.
  • Supplement irrigation systems (drip/sprinklers) with manual watering as necessary to maintain optimal plant health.
  • Ensure beds, lawns, and garden areas are consistently neat, manicured, and visually cohesive. Vendor & Grounds Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for landscaping and pool maintenance teams, ensuring work is executed to estate standards.
  • Oversee pool vendor performance to ensure water quality, cleanliness, and overall readiness at all times.
  • Ensure grounds are kept immaculate throughout the day, including frequent leaf blowing, debris removal, and general upkeep.
  • Maintain outdoor pathways, driveways, and entry areas in pristine condition. Exterior Property Presentation
  • Ensure all exterior lighting fixtures are functional, clean, and properly illuminated each evening.
  • Maintain patios, terraces, and outdoor living spaces
  • Monitor overall curb appeal and proactively address any aesthetic inconsistencies Seasonal / Interior Support (Dormant Season)
  • During off-peak landscaping months, this role transitions to provide broader estate support, including:
  • Assisting with errands and general household support tasks.
  • Performing heavy lifting and setup for household or hospitality needs.
  • Washing and maintaining household vehicles.
  • Cleaning and organizing garages, storage areas, and utility spaces.
  • Conducting inventory and organization of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assisting with maintenance and cleaning of indoor spa/wellness areas.
  • Supporting the household team with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications may vary. Seeking an individual who has relevant experience. Or background in some form of agricultural, horticultural, property management or other land work. Salary DOE, within the range listed.
Pay:
$115,000.00
  • $130,000.
