Job Description

Job Summary Need help with maintaining 2 acre residential property. You will assist with a variety of landscaping projects, ensuring properties are healthy and visually appealing. Your hands-on work will involve operating tools and equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and supporting the overall landscape maintenance process. Duties Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep turf healthy and attractive Maintain landscape features through pruning, tree trimming, and shrub shaping to promote growth and safety Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (weed eaters, blowers) safely and efficiently Improve and maintain drainage system to promote proper water run-off Assist with excavation projects using equipment like riding lawn mower for larger landscaping or construction tasks Support general site cleanup, debris removal, and ongoing landscape maintenance activities Experience Prior experience in landscaping or gardening is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Basic mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools effectively Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design is a plus Experience working with construction or hardscape projects such as patios or retaining walls is advantageous Qualifications Ability to work outdoors in dry weather conditions while maintaining quality and safety standards Strong communication skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques of landscape maintenance Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) Driver's license and safe driving history If you're motivated by outdoor work, eager to learn about landscaping techniques—including tree care, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation—this role offers an exciting pathway for growth.
