Ground Technician

HELP WANTED

— Ground Technician We are a helical pile installation company based out of Syracuse, NY, looking for a ground technician from Syracuse or the surrounding areas. Personal transportation to our shop is required. Starting wage is $21/hour . No helical pile experience is required. This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity for someone looking to grow with a newer business that has proven itself over the past four years and is now hitting its stride with the local economy, contractors, and continued demand for helical pile installation. The position includes working outside, loading and unloading materials, carrying individual piles, staging piles and extensions, assisting the equipment operator during installations, using hand signals, helping with lasers, level/plumb checks, basic jobsite cleanup, and learning our installation process. All necessary work gear is provided, including tools, uniform, rain gear, winter gear, boots, gloves, and other required items. The right candidate must have a good attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, the ability to follow direction, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Pay increases are not automatic and are based on reliability, work ethic, attendance, attitude, jobsite professionalism, ability to follow direction, and the value brought to the crew over time. Once a strong attitude and work ethic have been proven, there may also be an opportunity to learn how to operate heavy equipment, including mini excavators and skid steers, as part of continued growth within the company. This position is part-time to start, with approximately 20-50 hours per week depending on demand .
