ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate equipment such as rototillers, aerators, thatchers, overseeders, and bed edgers for planting, bed preparation, and ongoing maintenance activities. Perform general landscaping tasks including planting, pruning trees and shrubs, establishing new planting beds, laying sod, and installing new lawns. Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas by sweeping walkways and keeping outdoor premises orderly. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power mowers, weed trimmers, tractors, small utility vehicles (e.g., Mustang, Bobcat, John Deere), compact loaders, and snow removal equipment, ensuring safe operation at all times. Load, transport, and distribute soil, mulch, trees, and other landscaping materials throughout Hamilton County as needed. Remove graffiti from building surfaces using methods such as sandblasting, steam cleaning, and other approved techniques. Participate in seasonal snow and ice removal operations, including all related tasks as assigned. Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and herbicides using appropriate equipment and safety procedures. Duration of the project will last through July 31, 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Ability to demonstrate basic reading, writing, and math skills. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in lawn care, landscaping, or tree maintenance required. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required. No more than 6 points in 3 consecutive years.
