Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, as well as laying hardscape features such as patios and walkways. Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to ensure lush, healthy turf. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing tree care activities like trimming and removal. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various landscaping tasks including digging, planting, and soil preparation. Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas. Assist with construction activities involving excavation equipment like excavators or other machinery when needed. Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure optimal operation. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with tools, machinery, and in various outdoor conditions. Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for operating power tools and small machinery safely and effectively. Familiarity with lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control is advantageous. Experience with landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, tree trimming, hardscape installation, and irrigation systems is desirable. Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude is essential. Knowledge of horticulture principles or previous construction experience can enhance your contribution to complex projects.
