Grounds Maintenance Technician - Job DescriptionPosition Overview The Grounds Maintenance Technician is a hands‑on role responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of housing developments, yards, and open fields. This position works as part of a team to complete landscaping, property upkeep, small‑scale construction repairs, and seasonal maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, common areas, and fields, including mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal. Perform tree trimming, brush clearing, and general landscape care. Complete asphalt patching, driveway repairs, and basic hard‑surface maintenance. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and skid loaders for grading, digging, and property improvement projects. Assist with drainage work, soil movement, and site preparation as needed. Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance on tools and machinery. Work safely as part of a team to complete daily tasks efficiently and professionally. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Required Qualifications Experience operating an excavator and skid loader . Valid driver's license with a clean driving record . Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions. Strong teamwork skills and reliability. Basic knowledge of landscaping, groundskeeping, or construction maintenance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with asphalt repair or small‑scale paving. Familiarity with tree trimming tools and safe cutting practices. General mechanical aptitude for equipment upkeep. Work Environment Outdoor, year‑round work in varying weather conditions. Requires lifting, bending, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods. Team‑oriented environment with daily task coordination. Pay flexible based on experience and qualifications. Benefits can be discussed after 90 days.
