Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, pruning, and mulching to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, aerating, and installing landscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls Operate machinery such as excavators to assist with large-scale landscaping or seasonal clean-up projects Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety Install irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of lawns and gardens while maintaining existing systems for optimal performance Assist with gardening tasks like planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining soil health through mulching and fertilization Support construction projects involving hardscape features or landscape structures by following detailed plans and specifications Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and machinery such as excavators a plus Extensive experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices Proficiency with hand tools including shovels, rakes, pruners, saws, and other manual equipment Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal for safety and aesthetic purposes Ability to operate construction equipment safely and efficiently in various outdoor environments Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance to support sustainable watering practices Understanding of hardscape installation processes such as paving stones or retaining walls for durable outdoor features Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently on detailed landscaping projects Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in different weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail Embark on a career where your craftsmanship transforms outdoor spaces into vibrant landscapes!
