Experianced Groundsman

Job Summary We are seeking an Experienced Groundsman to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes. In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of groundskeeping and landscape maintenance tasks, ensuring the safety, health, and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor environments. Responsibilities Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently for tree trimming, landscaping, and maintenance tasks Perform tree care activities including pruning, trimming, and planting to promote healthy growth and safety Conduct lawn care duties such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain pristine turf conditions Assist with landscape maintenance projects by planting, mulching, installing irrigation systems, and installing landscape features Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape layouts or maintenance routes Execute rigging procedures for safe removal or pruning of large trees or heavy landscape elements Maintain a clean and organized work site while adhering to safety protocols at all times Support growing experience in horticulture by applying best practices in plant health and soil management Qualifications Proven experience as a Groundsman or in a similar outdoor maintenance role with a focus on landscaping or horticulture Strong knowledge of tree care techniques including pruning, trimming, and planting Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other landscaping machinery safely Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy objects or tree limbs Experience with GIS applications for landscape planning is a plus Knowledge of lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control Horticultural background with an understanding of plant health and soil management principles Growing experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture preferred but not required Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to creating beautiful outdoor spaces!
