Golf Course Technician

The City of Centerville is now hiring for the full-time position of Golf Course Technician with The Golf Club at Yankee. The Golf Club at Yankee Trace is a championship 27-hole resort-style golf course that includes a full-service restaurant and high-end banquet facilities. We seek energetic and hardworking people who can assist us in delivering exemplary customer service to our guests.

Job Responsibilities:

Performs routine manual labor in maintaining the grounds of the golf course. Operates mowers and other grounds maintenance equipment in maintaining the golf course. Rakes and maintains sand bunkers. Maintains fuel and fluid levels for maintenance equipment. Report equipment problems to the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and/or Mechanic. Assists in project work e.g. construction of new tees, and greens; directs groundskeeper with the maintenance tasks. Performs irrigation repairs, fertilizes the turf, and spray plant protection. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; and completion of specialized training in grounds maintenance Three (3) years experience in golf course grounds maintenance and repair Valid Ohio driver's license Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in the position.

Preferred qualification:

Commercial Spray License.
