Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Groundskeeper/Handyman to maintain the safety and functionality of outdoor spaces. This energetic role involves performing a variety of landscaping, mowing and general maintenance tasks to ensure that grounds are well-kept and safe for people and animals alike. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who cares about the appearance and functionality of the work spaces. This paid position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills in landscape maintenance and handyman duties and contribute to a team setting. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance including mowing lawns and pastures, trimming shrubs, and maintaining grounds and farm pastures using hand tools and power tools. Carry out general repairs around the property including fixing fences, gates, lighting fixtures, or other structures. Use landscaping equipment and hand tools efficiently to carry out maintenance tasks safely and effectively. Need to be able to lift 50lb, bend, climb ladders etc. Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow shoveling, or planting to keep grounds usable and accessible year-round. Perform general maintenance and warehouse duties as needed. Assist director and other staff members in multi-person jobs. Experience Prior experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred. Experience operating power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, or lawnmowers. Basic handyman skills. Ability to use hand tools safely for various repair and maintenance tasks. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to grounds upkeep. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
