Landscape Laborer

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position involves assisting with a variety of landscape, horticultural, and construction projects, ensuring each site is vibrant, functional, and well-kept. Whether you're trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or performing routine lawn care, your efforts will directly contribute to transforming outdoor environments into stunning landscapes that inspire and delight. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, digging, and other landscaping activities. Assist with installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction elements. Support irrigation system setup, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal watering schedules for plants and lawns. Conduct lawn care activities like aeration, fertilization, overseeding, and snow plowing during appropriate seasons. Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris, weeds, and waste materials to uphold safety standards and visual appeal. Collaborate with team members on tree care projects including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge to operate equipment such as excavators or other landscaping machinery. Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and snow plowing. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques involving gardening tools and power equipment. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design. Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools safely and effectively. Prior experience in construction or hardscape installation is a plus. Understanding of tree care practices including trimming and pruning for safety and aesthetics. Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions precisely while working outdoors in various weather conditions. Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, digging trenches, or performing repetitive tasks related to landscaping projects.
