Job Duties as a
Landscape Laborer:
Operate vehicles & powered equipment, including mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, & pruning saws. Perform lawn mowing & edging using power mowers or edgers. Maintain established lawns through mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, thatch removal, & trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmers, & axes for various landscaping tasks. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Collect & dispose of litter from landscaped areas. Maintain & repair landscaping tools & equipment. Prepare & apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides to grass, shrubs, or trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. During winter seasons, shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots & apply salt as needed. Operate snow blowers for efficient snow removal.
Qualifications & Skills:
Possession of a VALID driver's license & reliable transportation is required. Previous experience in landscaping or similar outdoor labor-intensive work is required. Demonstrated strong work ethic & a proactive approach to taking ownership of the job site. Dedication to delivering top-quality workmanship in all tasks. Ability to think critically & solve problems effectively. Proficient mechanical skills & comfort with operating & maintaining equipment. Capable of working effectively both as part of a team & independently. Demonstrates genuine & respectful customer service skills when interacting with clients. Strong near vision for detailed tasks at close range. Physical ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Able to work consistently in various weather conditions, including inclement weather. Prioritizes safety & adheres to safety protocols at all times.
