Assists with maintenance and related tasks for streets, water distribution and treatment, sewer collection, as needed. Must perform all assigned tasks safely. The season is expected to run from Mid-May to October and not to exceed 600 hours. Regular weekend work is to be expected. Key Responsibilities Perform landscape and grounds maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, watering, trash removal, painting and general upkeep of City property. Clean and maintain stormwater components and related public facilities that manage rainfall runoff. Operate and maintain City vehicles, hand tools, and light/heavy equipment; perform minor repairs and routine inspections. Support City operations by interacting with the public and maintaining a safe, cooperative work environment. Special Requirements/Licenses Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence. First Aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Certifications are preferred. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. High School Diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma). Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the work will be considered.
